Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Accountant based in Kolkata. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports. Additional duties include assisting with tax compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and supporting audits. Collaboration with team members to ensure efficient processes and accuracy in financial data is a vital aspect of the role.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping.
Competency in reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements, with the ability to assist in tax preparation.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. (e.g., CA Inter, B.Com (H), is a plus).
Experience in auditing or payroll processes is an added advantage.
