Assistant Accountant

Experience: Minimum 10 - 12 years

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate filing and compliance of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Oversee vendor payments, fee collection records, bank reconciliation, and expense monitoring.
• Handle audits (internal & external), ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare MIS reports and present financial insights to management.
• Supervise the accounting team and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance of ERP & Tally-based accounting systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with departments to streamline financial processes and approval

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance).
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Accounts, preferably in a University/Education sector.
• Strong command over GST, TDS, ERP systems, and Tally.
• Good knowledge of statutory compliances and financial regulations.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.
