Assistant Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with prior experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance within a Chartered Accountant firm. The role involves managing client accounts, statutory filings, and assisting senior team members in audits and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain books of accounts in Tally/other accounting software and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, Income Tax returns, and other statutory filings.
• Assist in statutory, tax, and internal audits.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, GST, TDS, etc.).
• Handle accounts payable and receivable management for clients.
• Support in compliance with MCA filings and ROC-related work.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and government authorities as required.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Assist seniors in preparing documentation for assessments, scrutiny, and appeals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or higher.
• Pursuing or completed CA (Inter) preferred but not mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and taxation (preferably in a CA firm).
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax provisions.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting/ERP software.
• Good communication and client management skills.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
