Job Description:

An Assistant Accountant supports daily accounting operations by maintaining financial records, processing invoices and payments, assisting with payroll, preparing financial reports, and helping with audits and tax compliance. Key responsibilities include data entry, ledger updates, bank reconciliation, and ensuring financial documents are accurate and compliant with regulations. This entry-level role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software and tools like Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and maintain general ledgers, balance sheets, and financial files (both physical and digital).
• Receive, process, and track invoices, expense forms, and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both vendors and clients.
• Assist with processing payroll by verifying employee hours and benefits deductions.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Provide support during internal and external financial audits by gathering and presenting relevant documents and assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance.
• Gather and analyze financial data to contribute to budget preparation and assist in creating budget forecasts.
• Handle various administrative tasks within the finance department, such as answering calls and maintaining files.
