Job Title: Field Service Engineer / Service Support Manager Department: After-Sales Service Location: [Insert Location] Reports To: Regional Service Head / Service Operations Manager Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and technically sound Field Service Engineer / Service Support Manager to support and enhance after-sales service performance across dealerships and channel partners. The role involves field diagnostics, warranty management, channel partner training, inventory control, and customer engagement to ensure excellent service delivery, customer satisfaction, and workshop profitability. Key Responsibilities:Technical Support & Field DiagnosticsAnalyze and resolve technical complaints of vehicles in the field. Perform defect rectification and aggregate overhauls when required. Provide technical feedback and recommendations for product improvements. Warranty & Service Process ManagementHandle and maintain internet-based warranty systems. Ensure the implementation of standard service processes across all channel partners. Manage service guarantees and ensure policy compliance at dealerships. Channel Partner Development & SupportTrain Service Managers and guide channel partners on facility, equipment, and manpower optimization. Support channel partners in planning special service strategies for key customers. Work closely with ASC (Authorized Service Centers) and monitor their performance in coordination with ASC coordinators. Spare Parts & Inventory ManagementEnsure spare parts orders are executed by all channel partners to maintain sufficient inventory and meet sales targets. Develop and expand the secondary network for spare parts sales. Oversee spare parts inventory management and optimization. Customer & Market FeedbackProvide feedback on company and competitor products based on market insights. Regularly visit customers and update M-Response data for service tracking and insights. Performance Monitoring & ReportingEnsure profitability of channel partner workshops. Conduct monthly service camps and customer visits. Compile and analyze MIS reports on service operations and performance. Qualifications & Skills:Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3–6 years of experience in automotive service operations or technical field support. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and service procedures. Proficient in warranty systems, spare parts planning, and channel management. Good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel frequently and manage field activities independently. Preferred Attributes:Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset. Experience in managing Authorized Service Centers and dealer support. Strong understanding of service profitability and process optimization.
