Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Reports to : Deputy General Manager Sales

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Trainees, Sales Officers and Senior Sales Officers to meet sales targets.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to drive growth and achieve sales goals in the region.
  • Ensure the team meets budgeted sales volumes and revenues in line with company policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, farmers, and dealers.
  • Guide the team in expanding the distributor network and penetrating new markets.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products by coordinating with the back-end team.
  • Oversee the KYC process for new distributors.
  • Monitor the performance of the sales team and provide support to improve results.
  • Manage the collection process from distributors and farmers in line with credit policies.
  • Regularly analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct field visits to support the team and manage relationships with key clients.
  • Follow up on payments from distributors and farmers to ensure timely collections.
  • Report to the Senior Manager on team performance, market trends, and sales progress.

Desired Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferably in Aquaculture or Marine Science or fisheries industry).
  • 8-13 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales in aquaculture, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to guide decisions.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of executing plans independently.
  • Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
