Zydus Corporate Park 1 Area Sales Manager- Food Service Functional Reporting: Branch Head / Zonal Sales Manager - FS Administrative Reporting: Branch Head / Zonal Sales Manager - FS Location: Role Purpose: To lead and manage the sales operations for food service in the assigned state, targeting institutions and the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafes) sector. The primary responsibility includes growing sales revenue, maintaining strong relationships with key clients, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across channels. Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: 1. Financial: Lead and manage the sales team to achieve targets in the HoReCa (Food Service) segment Responsible to drive Primary Sales and Redistribution Understand and ensure profitable / sustained growth of business Customer: Strengthening the distribution network & infrastructure of RDS, C&FA's to increase the width and depth of availability of Zydus products including new sales channels. Meet & build strong connect with Institutional customers such as Hotels, Restaurants, Bakery, Caf's etc for sales of Zydus products. 2. Process: Execution & monitoring market inputs Ensure availability of stocks at optimum level with RDS / C&F warehouse in his territory Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate and expand our presence in the Food Service market. Analyze market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities 3. People: 2 Effective management of Sales Officers for motivation , training & development & productivity enhancement Collaboration with the team and cross functional teams for effective execution Demonstrate company values, ethics & pride through exemplary behavior Key Deliverables: Sales Management: \u0009 Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed the sales targets in the assigned territory. \u0009 Manage the sales funnel and pipeline for Institutional and HoReCa segments. \u0009 Create and execute sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer base within the state. \u0009 Identify and seize business opportunities, especially in bulk sales to institutions and the HoReCa segment. Client Relationship Management: \u0009 Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients including hotels, restaurants, catering companies and Institutions. \u0009 Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs and address any service issues or queries. \u0009 Conduct periodic customer feedback sessions to enhance service quality. Team Leadership: \u0009 Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team under your supervision, ensuring high motivation and performance. \u0009 Monitor team performance and provide ongoing support to achieve sales objectives. Market Research & Analysis: \u0009 Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. \u0009 Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement. \u0009 Provide market intelligence to Senior Management to inform overall business strategy. Business Development: \u0009 Drive new business opportunities by targeting large institutions, hotels, and restaurants etc.. Product Promotion: 3 \u0009 Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional activities and campaigns aimed at increasing product visibility. \u0009 Work closely with chefs, F&B managers, and purchasing teams to promote the company's product portfolio. Reporting & Administration: \u0009 Prepare and present monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business plans. \u0009 Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities, customer contacts, and business deals. \u0009 Manage the sales budget for the area, ensuring efficient use of resources. Key Interactions: Branch Head Zonal Sales Manager Branch Commercial Manager Branch Logistics Manager Business Process Associate Channel Business Partner (RDS) Sales Officers HRBP Key Dimensions: People Manager Educational Qualifications: Graduate / MBA Preferred Experience (Type & Nature): Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience (in the capacity of ASM) in the Food Service industry, with a proven track record in managing Institutional and HoReCa channels preferably in FMCG with good communication skills in English and regional language. 4 Functional Competencies Strong understanding of the food service industry and the dynamics of Institutional and HoReCa sales. Sound Knowledge of Sales Fundamentals Having hands on experience in Sales Force Automation (SFA) RDS Management including ROI Prior experience of handling Team Stakeholder management Behavioral Competencies: Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. Team leadership and mentoring abilities. Results-oriented with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets. Strong analytical skills and market awareness.
