Job Title: Area Sales & Service Manager Department: Sales & Service Reports To: Regional Manager / Zonal Head Company: Ashok Leyland Job Purpose To achieve annual targets in sales and service by enhancing brand visibility, building market share, strengthening dealer performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned territory. Key Responsibilities Drive sales and service performance to achieve annual business targets for the assigned territory. Build and improve market share across product verticals by executing strategic plans effectively. Lead the successful launch of new products in the territory with full dealer and team coordination. Ensure strict adherence to PRISM processes and guidelines at all channel partner and dealer locations. Lead, motivate, and manage the performance of the sales and service teams to ensure efficiency and result orientation. Strengthen customer relationships and drive high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Monitor and control operational costs at dealer points; implement cost-saving measures and improve profitability. Ensure regular reporting, territory reviews, and performance tracking for ongoing process improvement. Candidate Profile Education: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience:10–12 years of experience in automotive sales and service. Prior experience in team management preferred. Proven ability to lead teams and achieve stretch goals. Technical & Functional Competencies: Strong knowledge of the Commercial Vehicle (CV) product range and aggregates. Experience in both sales and service operations within the automotive industry. Familiarity with channel management, dealer development, and customer engagement strategies. Working knowledge of CRM systems and dealership management software is a plus. Behavioral Competencies: Strong leadership and team motivation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High result orientation with a focus on execution and customer centricity. Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
