Job Summary:

The Field Collection Manager is responsible for managing and leading a team of field collection agents to ensure timely recovery of overdue accounts. The role involves planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of collection strategies to reduce delinquency and improve recovery rates in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of field collection officers.
  • Assign daily targets and review individual/team performance.
  • Ensure adherence to code of conduct and operational procedures.
  • Field Operations & Recovery:
  • Plan and execute field recovery strategies for different buckets (e.g., 30+, 60+, 90+ days overdue).
  • Monitor field visits and ensure timely follow-ups and escalations.
  • Negotiate payment plans or settlements with defaulters where necessary.
  • Data Management & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all recovery efforts.
  • Generate regular reports on collections performance and portfolio status.
  • Provide feedback to management on trends, risks, and field intelligence.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensure all collection activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle escalated or sensitive cases with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Identify potential fraud or skip-tracing cases and coordinate investigations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Liaise with internal departments (credit, legal, operations) for seamless recovery processes.
  • Engage with external vendors or third-party agencies if applicable.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in field collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record in debt recovery, team leadership, and performance management.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in MS Office and collection management systems
  • Familiarity with local geography and languages is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region

KPIs / Success Metrics:

  • Recovery rate (%) vs. target
  • Reduction in delinquency rate (30+/60+/90+ buckets)
  • Field visit compliance and productivity
  • Team performance and attrition rate
  • Customer satisfaction and compliance score

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
