Area Collection Manager

1. Collection Management & Recovery Strategy

Drive collections across MSME, HL, and LAP portfolios for all allocated buckets (X, 190, 90+).

Plan and execute field recovery strategies to reduce delinquency, PAR, and NPA levels.

Conduct regular field visits to high-portfolio-risk customers and escalated cases.

Monitor agency performance and ensure adherence to process and compliance standards.

2. Legal & Compliance Execution

Handle Sec 138 (Cheque Bounce) case initiation and coordination with legal team.

Manage SARFAESI process including notices, possession, and auction coordination.

Represent or coordinate cases in Lok Adalat and ensure settlement closures.

Ensure all legal actions follow RBI and company policy guidelines.

3. Team Leadership & Vendor Management

Manage field collection executives, branch collection staff, and external agency teams.

Train and mentor team members on collections techniques, documentation, and compliance.

Review daily performance of team members and set clear weekly/monthly action plans.

4. Portfolio Review & Risk Management

Conduct bucket-wise portfolio analysis, field audits, and delinquency reviews.

Identify high-risk accounts, fraud indicators, and negative customer behaviour patterns.

Implement preventive actions to maintain healthy portfolio quality.

Collaborate with credit, operations, and risk teams for corrective measures.

5. MIS, Reporting & Excel Skills

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly collection MIS, bucket performance reports, and dashboards.

Analyze data using MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS modelling).

Present portfolio trends, risk indicators, and recovery actions to senior management.

Ensure accuracy of data captured from field teams and agencies.

6. Field Operations & Customer Engagement

Carry out on-ground visits for high-value accounts, willful defaulters, and dispute cases.

Negotiate settlements, restructuring, and ensure closure of payment commitments.

Handle escalated customer concerns related to collections or legal communications.
