Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Portfolio Management

  • Drive branch-level disbursement, growth, and profitability for Group Loans.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly / quarterly / annual business targets.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, self-help groups, and community stakeholders.
  • Identify new market opportunities for branch business expansion.

Operations & Process Management

  • Oversee end-to-end branch operations including sourcing, loan processing, disbursement, and collections.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies, operational SOPs, and regulatory norms.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation, audits, and internal controls.
  • Monitor turnaround time (TAT) for loan processing and disbursement.

Team Management & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of Group Loan Officers / Relationship Officers.
  • Set clear KPIs and monitor team performance regularly.
  • Motivate the team and ensure high productivity and engagement levels.
  • Conduct regular field visits for coaching and supervision.

Collection & Risk Management

  • Monitor daily collections and minimize delinquency and NPA levels.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and recovery actions for overdue accounts.
  • Review credit risk and portfolio quality to control early warning signals.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through timely and transparent services.
  • Resolve customer issues and queries efficiently.
  • Strengthen customer retention and loyalty at branch level.

MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
  • Track KPI dashboards and provide insights for business improvement.
  • Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in Finance, Commerce, or Business Management).
  • Minimum 5 - 9 years of experience in Group Loans / Microfinance with at least 2 -3 years as Branch Manager or Team Lead in NBFC/MFI.
  • Strong leadership, team handling, and field management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of group lending operations, credit appraisal, and collections.
  • Good communication skills in regional and English languages.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic MIS reporting.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in field operations.
