Senior Draftsperson – Interior Design (GFC & Technical Drawings)
Location: Chanakyapuri, New Delhi (On-site, 5 days a week)Experience Required: 5–7 years in interior design draftingCompensation: Salary negotiable based on experience and skill About the Role-We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our luxury interior design studio. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in preparing high-quality GFC (Good For Construction) drawings, joinery details, ceiling layouts, and interior working drawings for ultra-high-end residential projects. Key Responsibilities-Technical Drawings & Documentation• Prepare detailed GFC drawings, floor plans, electrical/lighting layouts, HVAC coordination, RCPs, furniture layouts, joinery and millwork drawings.• Convert conceptual designs and sketches from the Principal/Senior Designers into precise technical drawings.• Prepare detailed wall elevations, bathroom layouts, wardrobe and kitchen details, ceiling mouldings, panelling details, and site-specific design solutions.• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and buildability in all drawing sets.Coordination & Revisions• Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and site teams for drawing approvals and implementation.• Create and manage drawing sets, revisions, layer management, proper line weights, title blocks, legends, and sheet formatting as per studio standards.• Review and cross-check shop drawings and vendor drawings before execution.Site & Design Support• Conduct occasional site visits to take measurements and ensure work is executed as per drawings.• Work closely with the design team to provide technical inputs and resolve on-site discrepancies. Desired Skills & Qualifications- • Diploma/Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Drafting, or related field.• 5–7 years of experience in drafting for high-end residential interiors.• Strong command of AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of PhotoShop, SketchUp, Revit, or 3D software is a plus.• Strong understanding of materials, joinery, construction details, and interior construction standards.• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under deadlines.• Ability to interpret design intent clearly and convert it into technically feasible drawings.• Organised, disciplined, and capable of multitasking across multiple projects.• Strong communication skills to be able to coordinate and liase with other involved agencies.
