Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AR Caller to join our healthcare billing team. The AR Caller will be responsible for managing and following up on outstanding patient accounts, ensuring timely payments, and resolving any discrepancies with insurance companies and patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable Follow-Up:

  Contact insurance companies and patients to follow up on unpaid or denied claims, ensuring proper resolution and prompt payment.

• Claim Status Inquiries:

  Initiate calls to insurance carriers and healthcare payers to inquire about the status of pending claims and identify issues preventing payment.

• Denial Management:

  Review and analyze denied claims, resolve issues, and resubmit claims as necessary, following up until payments are received.

• Documentation & Record-Keeping:

  Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions, payments, adjustments, and follow-up actions within the billing system.

• Customer Service:

  Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve issues or answer questions related to accounts.

• Reporting:

  Assist in preparing regular reports related to AR status, aged accounts, and collections progress.

• Compliance:

  Ensure all collections efforts comply with relevant healthcare regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare billing, AR collections, or medical office administration.
• Prior experience with healthcare insurance companies, coding systems (ICD, CPT), and understanding of the reimbursement process is preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding practices, insurance verification, and payment posting.
• Familiarity with healthcare payer policies and industry-specific terminology.
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies or rejections efficiently.
