Job Description

ACTIVITIES Cost Control • Monitors and work with vendors and business to arrive at cost effective solutions with respect to application development. • Work on the best application solution where it is possible to accommodate the requirement in-house. Reporting • Responsible to provide a monthly report on all the activities carried out on the Application support and Applications projects • Update the management on any issues related to cybersecurity with immediate effect. • To provide the incident reporting to MS Security on a monthly basis. Business Applications • Understand the requirement from the business, coordinates with the APMO IS to check the availability of an application with the same requirement, if not in Group, then plan, coordinate and implements the right application for the affiliate. • Understand the process from business and wherever possible provides a suggestion to have a work-flow to have faster approval process and reduce on the consumption of papers. • Enforces the security policy as per the Group guidelines to all the Local Applications managed locally at the affiliate level. • Plan, design, code and implement the application on a timely manner. • Monitor the outsourced application vendors or contractors. • Liaise and coordinate with the Group whenever a group application is implemented. • Liaise and coordinate with the Digital team of TEMIPL and to work in conjunction Organization • Monitors the outsourced resource to help in the application development and ensure that timely support is provided to the users. • Ensures that a customer centric approach is maintained within the team Projects a. Handles the projects as per the roadmap defined Local Application projects a. Implement 2 new applications locally in a year which would developed by self. b. Handle 3 new applications locally that would be handled by an outsourced vendor / contractor Other responsibilities • Manage outsourced activities and renewal of contract with 3rd parties • Implement technical documentation, processes and procedures for applications. • Recognize emerging new software tools from the market and bring technology and ideas to the affiliate • Develop and update site documentation relating to application so as to be readily available. • Develops local IT procedures and policies in line with Group standard and management requirement.
