Apparel Designer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities to inform design concepts.
• Create original Flat sketches(2D/3D) and technical drawings for a variety of apparel products.
• Select appropriate fabrics, colors, and materials to enhance design aesthetics.
• Candidates should be open to adapt the design on available fabrics as well.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and merchandising to ensure cohesive product development.
• Participate in fitting sessions to assess garment design and functionality, making necessary adjustments.
• Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Develop techpack for the shortlisted product line for kids(Boys/Girls), mens and womens.
• Collaborate with the Pattern making team, Sampling team to evaluate on Fit, Style on Dress Forms / Live Models.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Knit Design, Apparel Design from apparel field.
• Proven experience as an apparel designer or in a similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design capabilities and creativity.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CLO3D, Canva and Photoshop.
• Pattern making skills will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of garment construction, type of stitches, seams, pattern appreciation, and accessories selection.
• Excellent adaptive mindset and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
