Job Description

  • Understand and interpret Crop Care product regulations (pesticides, fertilizers, bio-stimulants) and ensure compliance with applicable state and central laws.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to arrange necessary documentation for sales permissions, warehouse additions, and principal certificate approvals (PC approvals).
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities (CIB&RC, State Agriculture Departments, Pollution Control Boards, etc) to secure timely approvals and licenses.
  • Prepare and submit applications for selling permissions, endorsement of Principal Certificates, and registration-related activities across states.
  • Manage and facilitate the Sales Permission process for Co-Marketers, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Co-Marketers in obtaining selling licenses across multiple states, providing guidance on documentation and regulatory steps.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge base of various state-level rules, acts, and regulations governing agrochemicals, including frequent changes or amendments.
  • Ensure regulatory documentation accuracy and audit readiness (licenses, permissions, certifications, etc).
  • Monitor compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure seamless product movement and sales.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with state-level authorities, regulators, and industry associations to ensure smooth approval processes.
  • Provide regulatory inputs for new product launches, product registrations, and market expansion strategies.
  • Train internal teams and co-marketers on compliance requirements, sales licensing procedures, and state-specific rules.
  • Track renewals of licenses/permissions to avoid business disruptions and ensure timely submission.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Insecticides Act, Fertilizer Control Order (FCO), Bio-stimulant guidelines, and other applicable regulations.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Central and State-level regulatory frameworks for agrochemical products.
  • Proven track record of engaging with regulatory bodies and state agriculture departments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.

Educational Qualification:

Any bachelors degree (B.Sc. Agriculture / Chemistry / Life Sciences preferred).

 

Experience:

5 7 years in the Agrochemical industry, with hands-on experience in regulatory approvals and compliance.
