Founded in 2018, Eeki Foods is dedicated to transforming the agricultural landscape through innovative technology. We specialize in cultivating a wide range of nutritious and chemical-free vegetables, achieving a remarkable 1800% higher yield across barren lands while conserving 90% of water. Our mission is to establish climate-proof farms using cutting-edge growing chambers, medium-less cultivation, and advanced IoT mechanisms to enhance sustainability and revolutionize the way we grow vegetables.


Role Overview:

Eeki is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced Agronomist incumbent to join our team. The primary role is providing technical support and expertise to our R&D team, as well as conducting research to improve our plants and crops. Looking for a person who has good experience in leafies.

 

Key responsibilities


  • Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic strategies to enhance crop yields, optimize resources, and ensure long-term sustainability
  • Analyze market trends, agricultural research, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align agronomic objectives with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on crop selection, rotation, and cultivation techniques to maximize productivity and minimize environmental impact.
  • Monitor crop health, soil quality, and pest/disease prevalence through regular field assessments and data analysis.
  • Implement integrated pest management (IPM) practices and recommend appropriate interventions to control pests and diseases effectively.
  • Stay updated on the latest agronomic research, technological advancements, and industry best practices.
  • Design and oversee field trials and research projects to evaluate new crop varieties, cultivation techniques, and agricultural inputs.
  • Collaborate with research institutions, universities, and industry partners to drive innovation and contribute to knowledge exchange.
  • Lead a team of agronomists, field technicians, and farm workers, providing guidance, mentorship, and training as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging cross-functional collaboration with other departments such as sales, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including farmers, suppliers, government agencies, and community groups to promote sustainable agricultural practices and achieve shared objectives.


  • Key Bachelor's / Master’s degree in agronomy, plant science, or a related field.
  • 5+years of experience in agronomy or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of hydroponics, plant physiology, soil science, and crop production and other related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
