Job Description

Designation: Senior Research Administration Department: GUNI- CARS Job Role: The Senior Administrative Officer (Research) will be responsible for managing and coordinating all administrative activities related to research initiatives within the GUNI-CARS department in cooperation with the Director - RD / Dean – RD. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist GUNI-CARS department in day-to-day activities and management. 2. Coordinate internal approvals and documentation for research activities. 3. Administer Summer and Winter Research Internship Programs for students, manage applications and program logistics. 4. Compile yearly research targets for institutes and monitor progress. Assist in organizing and coordinate research-focused events like SHODH, Research Conclave, Anveshan, Shodh Shikhar, etc. 5. Assist in planning and execution of training programs, workshops, and seminars aimed at enhancing research capabilities. Coordinate logistics, communications, and feedback mechanisms. 6. Support Ph.D. admissions processes including application management, data compilation and lead generation. 7. Oversee and support the publication of University Journal of Research (UJR), Research Newsletter, Research Compendium; Ensure timely collection of contributions, editing support, and dissemination. 8. Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating research policies and guidelines. 9. Assist in internal seed funding applications, submissions and approvals 10. Regularly update the research webpage at GUNI website with latest achievements, opportunities, and activities. 11. Handle queries from faculty members and institutes related to research policies, events, funding, and internships. Required Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Science / Engineering / Management / Administration or related fields. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in research administration, academic coordination, or project management. Familiarity with various research-related activities, including government funding schemes, research project cycles, and higher education systems preferred. Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational and administrative skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and research management tools. Event planning and coordination abilities. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments. Attention to detail, documentation, and reporting skills. Show more Show less
