Position Summary:

Accounts Receivable (A/R) Representative

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and follow up on unpaid insurance and patient claims.
• Work aging reports and take action to reduce outstanding A/R.
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately.
• Contact insurance companies for claim status and resolve denials or underpayments.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding claim issues and updates.
• Maintain detailed and accurate notes in billing software.
• Assist in preparing reports on collection efforts and account status.
• Stay updated on payer guidelines and insurance policies.
• Support the billing team with other revenue cycle tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable, preferably in a multi-specialty environment.
• Familiarity with major insurance carriers, denial codes, and appeal processes.
• Experience with medical billing software (e.g., InSync, AdvancedMD, Kareo, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
