Job Description – Accountant Job Responsibilities: Financial Transactions & Documentation: Record all day-to-day financial transactions accurately. Maintain sales, service, and spare parts records. Prepare, verify, and process invoices, bills, and payment requests. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure all vendor payments are made on time and accurately. Follow up with customers for pending payments and maintain proper records. Banking & Cash Handling: Handle daily cash collections and bank deposits. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records. Process employee salaries, reimbursements, and deductions. Taxation & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely GST, TDS, and other tax filings. Maintain and update statutory documents and records. Coordinate with auditors for financial audits and compliance. Inventory & Stock Management: Work closely with the service and parts department for inventory control. Verify and cross-check daily stock consumption and sales records. Payroll Management: Process monthly payroll and maintain salary records. Deduct TDS and other statutory compliance from salaries. Financial Reporting & MIS: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. Assist in preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and annual reports. Provide detailed financial analysis and present reports to management. Coordination with Departments: Coordinate with the Sales, Service, and Spare Parts departments. Ensure smooth financial transactions and proper accounting of all expenses and revenue. Provide financial data to management for decision-making. Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage workload and work under pressure. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or related field. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience in the automobile industry. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Office, and financial management software.
