Junior Accounts & Compliance Executive

About Us: We are a fast-growing software startup specializing in developing and launching user-centric mobile applications and SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to manage our foundational compliance, intellectual property protection, and daily accounting needs. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow quickly and gain hands-on experience in the legal and financial setup of a scalable technology venture.

Core Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage a dual portfolio of essential compliance and financial operations:

A. Compliance & Regulatory Management (Focus on Setup)

• Company Registration (MCA): Assist in the end-to-end process of maintaining the One Person Company (OPC) structure, including preparing and coordinating documentation for statutory filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
• Trademark & IP Management: Manage documentation, payment, and follow-up for all Trademark applications (specifically focusing on Class 9, 42, and 35 for software and IT services) and ensure correct usage of the symbol and copyright filing for code.
• GST & Taxation: Handle timely registration, filing, and reconciliation of Goods and Services Tax (GST), including preparing reconciliation for inter-state service revenue and managing compliance for digital service exports.
• Licensing & Compliance: Track and manage documentation related to data privacy policies (e.g., GDPR/local IT rules), E-commerce regulatory compliance, and general business trade licenses.

B. Accounting & Financial Operations

• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly books of accounts using Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent software, with an emphasis on SaaS revenue recognition.
• Invoicing & Receivables: Generate and track service invoices, manage subscription and license receivables, and ensure prompt payments from clients and payment gateways.
• Development Cost Management: Assist in tracking and optimizing development costs (salaries, contractor fees, cloud server expenses) and managing the capital expenditure related to software assets.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliation and expense tracking for cloud hosting fees and other IT infrastructure costs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting.
• 0-2 years of experience specifically involving GST filing or company secretarial work.
• Proven foundational knowledge of Indian compliance bodies (MCA, IP India).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
