We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai


Key Responsibilities


1. Accounting & Financial Management


* Maintain day-to-day accounts using Tally

* Perform bank reconciliations and ensure transactional accuracy.

* Systematically manage and track receipts, payments, and ledgers.


2. Tax Compliance


* Prepare and file GST returns on time.

* Handle TDS calculations and filings as per statutory norms.


3. Documentation & Reporting


* Maintain organized records for invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.

* Prepare and issue **payment and journal vouchers.

* Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports


4. Client Coordination


* Follow up with clients for outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.


5. Cash Handling


* Manage petty cash, maintain logs, and ensure availability for daily operations.


6. Team Support


* Assist the Senior Accountant in financial analysis, reporting, and audit preparations.

* Provide general support to the finance team as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications


* Proficiency in Tally and ability to generate accounting reports.

* Working knowledge of GST and TDS rules and filing procedures.

* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.

* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and numerical skills.

* Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

* Effective communication skills for internal and client coordination.

* Proficiency in Excel is mandatory.

* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting is required.


Preferred Experience


* 3–4 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

* Prior experience in managing accounts for service or media companies is an added advantage.
