Accounting Analyst

The Accounting Analyst will provide essential support to the Financial Analyst by performing day-to-day financial recordkeeping and administrative tasks. This role involves handling the legwork of accounting operations such as maintaining the Chart of Accounts, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in month-end closings, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data .

Key Responsibilities

• :Maintain financial records, performing account reconciliations, processing transactions for accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial statement preparation and audits related tasks
• .Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• .Maintain and update the Chart of Accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organisation financial systems
• .Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) entries
• .Prepare and post journal entries
• .Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
• .Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and for internal team audits as needed
• .Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes
• .Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records for easy retrieval and compliance
• .Communicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
• .Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting procedures and internal controls
• .Provide administrative support to the finance team as required
