Here is a sample job description for an Accountant in a Food Processing Unit located in Ambala : Position: Accountant Location: Ambala Industry: Food Processing Unit Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 2–5 years (preferred in food/FMCG/manufacturing industry) Key Responsibilities: Daily Accounting Operations: Maintain accurate books of accounts (Tally/ERP software) Handle accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts Monitor cash flow and prepare daily fund position Inventory & Cost Management: Track raw material and finished goods inventory Work with the production and warehouse team for stock audits Assist in costing and margin analysis of products Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) Handle TDS deductions and returns Assist with PF/ESIC and other applicable labor laws Reporting & Documentation: Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) Generate MIS reports for management Assist in internal and external audits Coordination: Liaison with banks, vendors, auditors, and consultants Support in budgeting and forecasting Key Skills Required: Knowledge of Tally ERP / Busy / other accounting software Strong grasp of GST, TDS, and other taxation norms Proficiency in MS Excel Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with manufacturing or food processing accounts preferred Qualifications: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) Certification in accounting software or taxation (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Work Location: In person
