Position Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tally works and performing various accounting tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Recordkeeping:

- Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger accounts.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

2. Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

- Generate reports for management review.

3. Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.

- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.

4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments.

- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.

- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.

5. Reconciliation:

- Perform regular bank reconciliations.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.

6. Tax Preparation:

- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.

- Ensure timely payment of taxes and compliance with tax regulations.

7. Payroll:

- Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages.

- Maintain payroll records and handle payroll-related inquiries.

8. Cost Control:

- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget.

- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

9. Software and Systems:

- Utilize accounting software and other financial tools effectively.

- Ensure accurate data entry and system updates.

10. Other Duties:

- Support special projects and perform other accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- *Experience:* Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience.

- Skills:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Working Conditions:

- Typical office environment with standard working hours.

- May require occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end).
