Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to join our retail jewellery business. The ideal candidate will not only handle day-to-day financial transactions but also assist with stock management, including labeling of jewellery items, inventory tracking, and maintaining accurate records of all sales and purchases. A background in retail or jewellery accounting is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting entries related to sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Label jewellery stock accurately with item codes, weights, pricing, and other relevant details.
• Maintain updated inventory records and assist with physical stock verification.
• Coordinate with the sales team to reconcile cash, card, and UPI transactions daily.
• Monitor gold/diamond stock inward and outward entries.
• Ensure timely recording of supplier invoices and purchase vouchers.
• Generate GST-compliant invoices and support monthly tax filings.
• Reconcile bank statements and daily collections.
• Prepare and maintain registers for gold purity, weight, and valuation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the jewellery or retail sector.
• Familiarity with stock labeling and jewellery inventory systems.
• Knowledge of Tally, Marg, or jewellery-specific ERP software.
• Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and retail compliance norms.
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in barcode generation or manual tagging of jewellery items.
• Understanding of HSN codes, karat systems, and jewellery categorization.
• Knowledge of weight-wise stock tracking and purity-wise inventory reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with store staff and vendors.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
