Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients. The candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, GST filings, and statutory compliance for various companies under our consultancy portfolio. This role requires multitasking skills, deep accounting knowledge, and familiarity with Tally, Zoho, or other accounting software. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for multiple client companies. Record all day-to-day financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, payments, and receipts. Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations. Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and TDS returns. Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Coordinate with auditors during internal or statutory audits. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Income Tax Act, Companies Act, and other applicable laws. Support payroll accounting, PF/ESI returns, and professional tax filings if applicable. Maintain documentation and filing of invoices, vouchers, and compliance records. Handle communication with clients regarding accounting data and required documents. Assist with ROC filings and MCA compliance (if required). Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter preferred). 2+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping or accounting for multiple entities. Proficiency in Tally ERP/Prime, Zoho Books, or other accounting software. Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic Income Tax provisions. Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication skills – written and verbal. Preferred Attributes: Experience in working in an accounting or financial consultancy setup. Ability to work under deadlines and handle confidential information. Exposure to cloud accounting tools and automation is a plus.
