Job Description

Key Responsibilities Manage calculation, payment, and timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns, including income tax, GST, TDS, and advance tax.​ Maintain compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, ensuring accurate documentation, record-keeping, and submission of statutory forms/returns.​ Conduct periodic internal audits for GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements, and resolve queries raised during audits or assessments.​ Prepare ledger reconciliations, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and other financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.​ Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and update management regarding implications for business activities.​ Manage accounting entries, adjustments (such as depreciation, accruals, and prepayments), and ensure books are finalized accurately for internal and external reporting.​ Handle Tally Prime software for record-keeping, reporting, and statutory compliance at an expert level.​ Represent the firm in tax assessments, coordinate submission of supporting documents to authorities, and respond to notices or queries effectively.​ Prepare audit schedules and ensure timely closure of statutory audits and assessments by resolving all open queries.​ Required Skills and Experience Proficient in Tally Prime for complete bookkeeping, GST return preparation and filing, voucher entries, reconciliation, and statutory records management.​ Solid knowledge and practical experience with direct taxes (income tax, advance tax, TDS), indirect taxes (GST, VAT), and regulatory compliance in the real estate sector.​ Advanced ability to compute and file advance tax, monthly/quarterly GST returns, TDS payments and returns, and ensure compliance with deadlines and legal provisions.​ Experience handling adjustments and entries, including year-end closing, audit adjustments, and statutory entries like prepaid expenses and outstanding liabilities.​ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential financial records and regulatory filings.​ Effective communication with internal teams and external consultants/auditors to ensure compliance and timely resolution of issues.
