Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Ensure financial records are updated and comply with statutory requirements.
  • Invoicing & Receivables Management
  • Generate and issue client/customer invoices on time.
  • Track receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and manage payment schedules.
  • Record incoming payments and reconcile them with bank deposits.
  • Payables & Expense Management
  • Verify vendor bills and process supplier payments.
  • Maintain petty cash records and ensure timely reimbursement of approved expenses.
  • Monitor company spending and suggest cost optimization measures.
  • Taxation & Compliance
  • Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian accounting and taxation standards.
  • Maintain audit documentation and coordinate with auditors or consultants as required.
  • Payroll Processing
  • Prepare monthly payroll and maintain employee salary data.
  • Manage statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS) and ensure timely filings.
  • Issue payslips and comply with labor and tax regulations.
  • Financial Analysis & Budgeting
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Analyze variances between actual and projected financial results.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Audit Support
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audit preparation.
  • Organize and provide supporting documents, vouchers, and reconciliations.
  • Software & Systems
  • Work efficiently on accounting platforms such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Excel.
  • Maintain financial data backups and ensure confidentiality.
  • Communication & Coordination
  • Coordinate with management, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
  • Share periodic financial updates and reports with leadership.
