Role :- Accountant/Financial Modeling (Australian Exp)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with strong expertise in Xero software and financial modeling, specifically with hands-on experience in the Australian market. This role involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and developing financial models to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping using Xero for Australian-based businesses
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and supplier/customer invoices
• Maintain accurate and compliant financial records in line with Australian accounting standards and tax requirements
• Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements) and support GST reporting as per Australian taxation laws
• Assist with payroll processing and superannuation compliance
• Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and support forecasting and budgeting
• Collaborate with management to produce financial insights and reports for strategic decisions
• Support external audits and liaise with accountants and financial advisors as needed

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven bookkeeping experience with working knowledge of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations
• Advanced proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong capability in building and interpreting financial models (Excel-based and other tools)
• Familiarity with BAS preparation and reporting under Australian GST rules
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Desirable:

• Certification or diploma in accounting/bookkeeping or related field
• Experience with payroll and superannuation processing in Australia
• Knowledge of other accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks) is a plus
