Accountant – Cost & Operations Analyst

About Us

We are a fast-growing AI-powered home interiors company with strong operations across multiple cities in India. Our business involves design-to-execution workflows, with costs spread across factories, vendors, materials, subcontractors, and project execution. We are now looking for an Accountant who can help us accurately track and analyze our real incoming and outgoing costs, enabling sharper decision-making and profitability.

Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for cost accounting, expense tracking, and financial reporting with a focus on factories, COGS, materials, subcontractors, and operational expenses. The role demands someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in cost-heavy industries like interiors, manufacturing, or construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile books of accounts (Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks or equivalent).
• Track COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) including raw materials, subcontracting, and vendor payments.
• Analyze factory costs, production expenses, and overhead allocations.
• Set up cost centers (factory, materials, site operations, marketing, etc.) for clear expense attribution.
• Monitor and report incoming vs outgoing cash flows for each project.
• Assist with MIS preparation: monthly P&L, balance sheet, project-level costing.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, and vendors to ensure accurate data capture.
• Support management in identifying cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory accounting requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CA Inter / CMA preferred but not mandatory).
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing, interiors, or construction.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP tools).
• Strong knowledge of COGS analysis, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
• Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills; comfort with MIS preparation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, operations).
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and strong problem-solving mindset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bangalore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
