Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and a thorough understanding of corporate finance principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and advanced Excel skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to assist in strategic planning.
• Oversee corporate accounting functions, including month-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in financial services or corporate accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
