Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial tasks including GST compliance, accounting entries, import/export documentation, and e-way bill processing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of Indian taxation laws, international trade compliance, and a good command of accounting software. Key Responsibilities: GST Compliance: Preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and reconciliation reports. Handle input tax credit matching and vendor communication for mismatches. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain day-to-day financial records using Tally, or equivalent software. Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable. Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Import & Export Documentation: Prepare and verify shipping and customs documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and BOE (Bill of Entry). Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHAs, and logistics partners for timely import/export operations. E-Way Bill Management: Generate and manage e-way bills for inter/intra-state goods movement as per GST norms. Monitor transporter coordination and documentation accuracy. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, or a related field. Experience in accounting, GST filing, and import/export documentation. Proficiency in Tally, Excel, GST portal, and e-way bill portal. Strong understanding of Indian accounting and taxation standards. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in handling export-import logistics in an engineering or manufacturing company. Working knowledge of foreign remittance documentation and RBI guidelines.
