Welder / Fitter

Job Summary: Apantec India Corporation is hiring an experienced Welder/Fitter with hands-on expertise in skid plumbing and mechanical assembly. The role involves fabrication, pipe fitting, and welding for control panels, process skids, and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate should be capable of reading piping diagrams and working independently or with a team to assemble mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform pipe fitting and welding (TIG/MIG/Arc) for stainless steel, MS, and copper pipes as per skid layout drawings. Read and interpret P&ID, isometric, and plumbing layout drawings for accurate execution. Carry out cutting, threading, bending, and joining of pipes and fittings (including valves, gauges, unions). Fabricate and assemble custom skids, control panel plumbing, and support structures. Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, and basic mechanical inspections on assembled skids. Maintain cleanliness, quality, and safety during fabrication and assembly work. Coordinate with engineers, QA/QC, and warehouse teams for materials and job priorities.   Required Skills and Qualifications: ITI or Diploma in Welding/Fitting or Mechanical Trade. 2–5 years of experience in industrial welding and skid/plumbing assembly. Knowledge of TIG welding for SS piping is highly preferred. Ability to work with hand tools, grinders, pipe benders, and welding machines. Familiar with safety standards, PPE, and basic mechanical QA practices.   Preferred Skills: Experience with instrumentation tubing, gas skids, or control panel plumbing. Basic knowledge of pressure ratings, pipe schedules, and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with international skid fabrication standards (e.g., ASME B31.3).   Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Commensurate with experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
