Job Description

Gather, prepare, test, and maintain adequate documentation to support monthly accruals through the Service PO Accrual Process (SPOA).
Review and verify the accuracy of PO coding to ensure compliance with accounting policies and expense principles.
Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure appropriate accounting assessment for PO transactions.
Apply judgment and correctly interpret GAAP accounting requirements to ensure accurate recording, substantiation, and communication of accounting entries.
Partner with Business Requestors, Sourcing, and Financial Analyst communities to prepare monthly accruals and resolve coding discrepancies or issues.
Assist the SPOA database manager with monthly accrual data preparation and analysis.
Identify and communicate Procurement and Accounts Payable processing errors for correction.
Participate in cross-training and covering other Corporate Accounting areas during peak activity periods.
Continually assess and design desk procedures and process flows to maximize internal controls and efficiency.
Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
