Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing long-term relationships with key manufacturing clients for digital transformation projects.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for client stakeholders, building trust and understanding business goals.
  • Understanding client operations and pain points, and recommending technology solutions (IIoT, MES, etc.) that align with their needs.
  • Shaping technical solutions with Pre Sales/SMEs across IIoT (edge connectivity, MQTT/Sparkplug B), MES (OEE, e batch, traceability, digital logbooks, recipe management), UNS/data architectures, and integrations (OPC UA, historians, ERP/MES/SCADA).
  • Orchestrating proposals: scope, SoW, pricing, and commercial negotiations; navigate legal/procurement to closure.
  • Coordinating cross-functional internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and strategic recommendations to senior management at client organizations.
  • Supporting contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring both profitability and customer value.
  • Tracking project milestones, managing timelines, and overseeing successful deployment of solutions.
  • Monitoring client satisfaction, address concerns proactively, and ensuring long-term customer retention.
  • Keeping up with latest trends in IIoT, MES, and manufacturing technology to maintain thought leadership with clients.
  • Building reference stories and case studies; representing BASE at customer QBRs, councils, and industry events.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar client-facing role in discrete / process manufacturing (Automotive, EV batteries, Tyre, F&B, FMCG, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, IIoT, MES, and associated technologies for manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of plant operations and ISA 95/ISA 88 concepts; comfort with SCADA/PLC/OPC UA, data historians, and MES workflows (OEE, traceability, SPC, recipe/BoM, work instruction/eBR, downtime analysis).
  • Prior experience in selling or implementing industrial software solutions (IIoT platforms, MES, Unified Namespace, etc.).



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience working with manufacturing enterprise clients or system integrators.
  • Familiarity with IIoT connectivity (MQTT, REST, OPC UA), Unified Namespace principles, and modern data integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to craft and deliver technical solutions in business terms.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales pipeline management.
  • Leadership quality.
