Job Description

DESIGN ENGINEER'S (ELECTRICAL) JD

Basic Functions

Actively involve himself/herself in all/particular phase of the Project, individually or as a team to perform the designated role and responsibility as defined.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understanding the customer requirements from the specification provided by the customer during initial stage
  • Obtaining essential data from customer through mail or telecommunication and Site Study.
  • Designing the panels as per the customer specifications using Eplan & AutoCAD software
  • Preparation of Specification and BOM using SAP software
  • Selection of right quality switchgears & other accessories like Pushbuttons, lamp, switches
  • Follow up of materials from Suppliers & Purchase department
  • Getting approval for the design from the customer
  • Selection of right Industrial Enclosures as per applications required
  • Preparation of Cables list, Terminal Chart, Order list etc
  • Preparation of as built Engineering Documentation after Project Commissioning

Qualifications

  • Must be a Diploma / BE (EEE)
  • Must have at least 1 or 2 years of relevant experience in automation industry
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills in English

Knowledge & Skills

  • Mandatory
1.1) AUTOCAD & EPLAN
1.2) Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Optional – But willing to learn and perform
2.1) Rockwell / Siemens
2.2) MS-Visio /MS Project
