Job Description – Accounts Manager (Food & Beverage Industry)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations for our Food & Beverage business. This role will be responsible for handling the complete accounting cycle—from transaction recording and reconciliations to statutory compliance and final reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, deep understanding of F&B financial nuances, and the ability to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory cost accounting.
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards.
• Oversee daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Monitor and control restaurant cost centers, including food cost, beverage cost, and wastage analysis.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, and other applicable tax filings; coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to improve budget tracking and cost efficiency.
• Manage vendor payments, customer collections, and credit controls.
• Provide strategic financial insights to management for business growth and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (CA/CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in the Food & Beverage or hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of F&B industry cost structures and inventory systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems etc...) and advanced Excel skills.
• In-depth understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and reporting requirements in India.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
