Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Accessibility Audit Specialist with a strong passion for digital inclusion and a deep understanding of accessibility compliance standards. In this role, you will lead and execute comprehensive accessibility audits of web products, ensuring they are usable by individuals with diverse abilities. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to guide improvements, ensure compliance with global standards, and help create barrier-free digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end accessibility audits for websites, web applications, and digital content using both manual and automated testing methods.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize accessibility issues in accordance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, Section 508, and other relevant standards.
  • Generate detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for designers, developers, and product teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support implementation of accessibility fixes and best practices.
  • Assist in defining accessibility requirements during product planning and design phases.
  • Perform assistive technology testing using screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), keyboard-only navigation, and other AT tools.
  • Stay up to date with accessibility laws, emerging trends, and evolving compliance standards.
  • Educate and mentor internal teams on accessibility principles and inclusive design.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the WebYes accessibility audit tool, leveraging it to conduct comprehensive audits of internal and external sites.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in web accessibility consulting or a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of web accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1, ADA, and Section 508.
  • Experience with accessibility audit tools.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA roles for accessibility implementations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and training skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications in accessibility (e.g., CPACC, WAS, or CPWA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A deep understanding of various disabilities and how they affect web accessibility.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and promoting inclusive work environments.
