2759 - Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, along with a solid background in data analysis within the banking sector. This role requires excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, and expertise in API design, event handling, and various data formats.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of banking data to support decision-making processes.
• Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and insights to drive strategic initiatives.

API & Event Design:

• Design and implement APIs for data integration and data exchange.
• Work with Kafka events to ensure efficient data streaming and processing.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Data Mapping & Transformation:

• Utilize XML for data mapping and transformation in Enterprise Data Services (EDS).
• Develop and maintain data transformation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Database Management:

• Leverage Oracle and SQL for database querying, management, and optimization.
• Ensure data quality and reliability through rigorous validation processes.

Modeling & Workflow Design:

• Create and maintain UML diagrams and BPMN models for data workflows.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define and refine business processes.

Tool Utilization:

• Utilize Postman or SOAP for API testing and validation.
• Participate in the implementation and management of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and share insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior analysts on best practices in data analysis.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• 7 to 9 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in designing APIs and handling Kafka events.
• Solid understanding of XML and its application in EDS mappings.
• Advanced SQL and Oracle database management skills.
• Experience with UML or BPMN for workflow design.
• Knowledge of Postman or SOAP for API testing and validation.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) practices and tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
