Job Description

A. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the zone.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Monitor primary and secondary sales performance.
  • Identify business opportunities in general trade channels.

B. Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and motivate Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Area Sales Managers (ASMs), and Sales Representatives.
  • Set clear KRAs and ensure periodic performance reviews.
  • Build a high-performing and target-driven team culture.

C. Distribution & Channel Development

  • Expand distribution network by appointing new distributors and retailers.
  • Monitor stock levels, order frequency, and inventory rotation.
  • Ensure effective coverage and outlet productivity improvement.
  • Strengthen both urban and rural market presence.

D. Trade Marketing & Promotions

  • Implement trade schemes, consumer promotions, and visibility drives.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team for product launches and activations.
  • Ensure execution of POS materials and displays across retail counters.

E. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and promotional trends.
  • Provide market feedback and insights to management for strategic planning.
  • Analyze sales data to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.

F. Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance for smooth operations.
  • Monitor and control outstanding payments and credit limits of distributors.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education:

    Graduate / MBA (Sales & Marketing preferred)
  • Experience:

    10-15 years in Perfumes & Deodorants industry / FMCG(Except Food & beverage) / Personal Care
  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Analytical and strategic planning ability
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools
  • Extensive travel across assigned zone for market visits, distributor reviews, and team meetings.
