Zonal Sales executive

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

1.

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned region.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to ensure regional objectives align with the companys sales goals.
  • Set and track sales targets for the zonal sales team, ensuring each sales executive’s performance meets or exceeds their individual quotas.

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the zonal sales team, providing guidance, support, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement team-building initiatives to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for each sales executive, providing constructive feedback, setting goals, and identifying areas for professional development.

3.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee the resolution of customer issues and work with the sales team to ensure their needs are met.
  • Ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding payments from customers.

4.

  • Regularly monitor and assess the performance of each Sales Executive against set targets and KPIs.
  • Hold monthly and quarterly performance review meetings with each Sales Executive to discuss achievements, challenges, and development opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Ensure that sales executives comply with HR policies, including performance expectations, conduct, and adherence to company guidelines.

5.

  • Provide detailed reports to the National Sales Manager on sales performance, market insights, and competitive activity.
  • Ensure all sales activities and progress are accurately recorded in CRM systems, providing real-time updates to the National Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.

6.

  • Continuously analyze and refine sales strategies to improve sales conversion rates, customer retention, and overall market penetration.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure promotional campaigns align with sales efforts and effectively engage target markets.

7.

  • Plan and manage personal schedules, balancing field visits, sales meetings, customer visits, and administrative duties.
  • Oversee the efficient use of resources for travel and sales activities within the zone, adhering to company travel policies and budgets.
  • Ensure that each sales executive provides a travel plan and budget in line with company policies.

8.

  • Ensure that the performance of sales executives is in alignment with HR policies and standards, including attendance, conduct, and performance.
  • Address any performance or behavioral issues as per HR policies, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify training and development needs and work with HR to implement appropriate training programs.

9.

  • Ensure adherence to company ISO processes and procedures, particularly in sales operations, customer interactions, and record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards and other company policies.
