Job Description

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Zonal Sales Head South India to lead our Laminates & Recon Veneer business across the five southern states: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana . This leadership role will drive channel sales (8090%) and project-based sales (1020%) , ensuring revenue growth, market penetration, and team development. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Strategy & Execution Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals for Laminates and Recon Veneer. Drive revenue growth across South India by achieving and exceeding zonal targets. Expand the dealer/distributor network in existing and new markets. Manage and grow project sales through engagement with architects, interior designers (AID), and project management consultants. 2. Team Leadership Lead and manage a team of 15+ sales professionals , including: 2 Regional Sales Managers 5 Branch Managers Area Sales Managers, Area Sales Executives, and Senior Sales Executives Provide mentorship, training, and performance management. Ensure collaboration across functions like marketing, logistics, and supply chain. 3. Channel Management Strengthen relationships with existing dealers/distributors and onboard new channel partners. Monitor and optimize distributor ROI, product mix, credit management, and inventory planning. Ensure effective trade marketing initiatives and visibility in key markets. 4. Project Sales (AID) Build and nurture relationships with key architects, interior designers, and specifiers. Identify project opportunities and ensure specification and conversion of our products. 5. Market Intelligence & Reporting Track competitor activities, market trends, pricing dynamics, and customer preferences. Provide timely sales forecasts, reporting, and strategic inputs to leadership. Key Requirements: Education: Graduate (preferably in Engineering/Architecture) with an MBA in Sales/Marketing. Experience: 15-18 years of experience in building materials/FMCG/related industries , with at least 5 years in a senior zonal or regional role. Proven experience in managing large teams and handling multi-state operations. Experience in Channel Sales is essential; Project Sales exposure is a strong advantage. Industry Preference: Laminates, Veneers, Plywood, Building Materials, or Decorative Surfaces. Languages: Must be fluent in at least two of the following : Tamil, Kannada, or Telugu. Proficiency in English and Hindi is desirable.
