Position Overview

The Zonal Head – North will be responsible for driving sales, market expansion, and team leadership across the North Zone. This role requires extensive experience in the Building Materials industry and strong geographical knowledge of the northern states. The ideal candidate should possess proven leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage a large team effectively.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive overall sales performance in assigned North Zone states.
  • Develop and execute regional strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of

    25+ members

    across multiple states.
  • Set performance goals, monitor KPIs, and ensure high productivity.
  • Provide training, guidance, and skill enhancement to team members.
  • Conduct periodic field visits and performance assessments.

3. Regional Operations & Planning

  • Ensure smooth execution of sales operations across all North states.
  • Coordinate with distributors, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
  • Oversee inventory planning, order management, and timely collections.

4. Market Expansion & Branding

  • Strengthen brand visibility across the North Zone.
  • Expand dealer/distributor network in alignment with growth plans.
  • Conduct promotional activities, product launches, and customer engagement programs.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit timely MIS reports, sales performance reports, and forecasts.
  • Work closely with the VP – Sales and other leadership teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience

    in the

    Building Materials industry

    .
  • At least 5 years of regional experience

    , covering a minimum of

    five North Zone states

    .
  • Minimum 5 years of team leadership experience

    , handling

    25+ members

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    North Zone geography

    and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
