Xceptor Developer

• Design, configure and maintain Xceptor solutions: build import rules, transforms, reconciliations and workflows to automate document & data processing pipelines.
• Implement robust data validation, mapping and exception-handling logic to ensure high-quality outputs for downstream systems (GL, payment engines, reporting).
• Integrate Xceptor with external systems using connectors, web-services/APIs and database interfaces; manage file/queue-based ingestion and delivery patterns.
• Create and maintain automation scripts and small utilities (VBScript/JavaScript/Python) required for data manipulation, orchestration and testing.
• Perform unit and integration testing, troubleshoot issues in staging/production, profile performance and apply optimisation measures to improve throughput and reliability.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA and operations: translate requirements into technical designs, produce documentation and support deployments under Agile delivery timelines.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years hands-on experience developing and supporting Xceptor-based solutions (Import/Transform/Reconcile/Workflow).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases; comfortable writing queries for data validation and ETL tasks.
• Practical scripting skills (VBScript/JavaScript or Python) to extend Xceptor functionality and automate auxiliary tasks.
• Experience with document ingestion and structured/unstructured data extraction (OCR/ICR familiarity desirable).
• Proven experience in transactional/financial data reconciliation, exception management and rules-based processing.
• Good communication skills, experience working with stakeholders in banking/financial services or shared-services/outsourcing environments.
