Position: Front-End Developer with WordPress experience

Location: Kochi

Office Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

1. WordPress Development:

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React/Vue.
• Implement responsive designs using CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind) and optimize for performance.
• Customize WooCommerce setups (product pages, checkout flow, payment gateways).
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues (plugins, themes, server compatibility).

2. Front-End Development:

• Build interactive, mobile-friendly websites with Semantic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Work with REST/GraphQL APIs for integrations (payment processors, CRMs).
• Optimize for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility (WCAG) standards.
• Collaborate with designers using Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD to translate UI/UX into code.

3. Shopify Setup & Maintenance (Optional/Secondary Role):

• Configure and customize Shopify themes (Liquid templating, CSS/JS).
• Set up Shopify stores, including product imports, collections, and apps.
• Implement SEO best practices, speed optimizations, and third-party app integrations (e.g., Klaviyo, ReCharge).

4. DevOps & Workflow Management:

• Use Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing/deployment.
• Manage hosting environments (Linux/CPanel, Docker, Cloudways/SiteGround).

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Core: PHP, WordPress (ACF, Gutenberg), WooCommerce, JavaScript (ES6+), React/Vue, SASS/SCSS.
• Optional Shopify Skills: Liquid templating, Shopify CLI, theme customization.
• Tools: Webpack, npm/yarn, Figma, Postman, Google Lighthouse.

Soft Skills:

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Clear communication with designers, stakeholders, and non-technical teams.

Preferred Experience:

• 3+ years in WordPress development.
• Portfolio showcasing responsive WordPress/Shopify projects.
• Experience with headless CMS (Strapi, Contentful) is a plus.
