Web QA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Web Manual + Cypress/Playwright Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of web applications by designing, developing, and maintaining test plans, test cases and test runs along with automated tests using Cypress/Playwright. You will work closely with development and QA teams to drive test automation best practices and help deliver high-quality software.
Responsibilities:
Automation Engineer [Cypress/Playwright/Javascript/Typescript] with good Manual Testing experience Contribute in Cypress Automation tasks Basics (Communication, Jira, Github). Strong software tester background who understands SDLC thoroughly Strong in creating test plans Strong in understanding project requirements and functional concepts Strong in writing Test Cases Execute test cases and provide crisp reports. Strong in creating bugs and follow complete bug life cycle Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and define test automation strategies. Develop and maintain end-to-end test suites to validate web applications. Create and execute automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing. Identify and report defects, track issues, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution. Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing. Maintain code using Source Control systems majorly Git Write clear and concise test documentation, including test plans and testcases. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure best practices. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation and share knowledge within the team. Qualifications:
BE/BTech/ME/MTech: [Computer Science] / MCA
3+ years of proven experience in test automation using Cypress/Playwright. Strong Manual Testing experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript along with OOPS concepts Experience with Agile software development processes and practices. Experience with modern web development technologies (HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, etc.). Familiarity with API testing and tools like Postman or similar. Knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and test design techniques. Experience with version control systems majorly Git is a must Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, gitlab CI, BitBucket CI , or similar is a must Experience with performance testing and load testing tools is a plus. Please note that this is an in-office role, and the successful candidate will be required to work from our office location in Gurgaon. And the timings will be 11:30 AM to 4 PM IST from the office, and 9 PM to 12:30 AM IST from home.
