Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Structure Design Engineer with over 7 years of expertise in water supply projects. The role involves the design and development of water-related structures such as reservoirs, intake structures, pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution systems. The candidate will be responsible for delivering efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions in alignment with project requirements, codes, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of water supply structures including intake wells, storage reservoirs, treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution networks, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, design calculations, hydraulic modeling, and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and design reviews for water supply projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers) for integrated project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Review and approve shop drawings, vendor designs, and material submittals.
• Support project execution by providing technical guidance during construction and resolving design-related issues.
• Prepare design reports, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Utilize design and modeling software such as WaterGEMS, EPANET, AutoCAD, STAAD, and Civil 3D.
• Ensure sustainability, safety, and quality in design solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of proven experience in water supply and water structure design.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and structural design principles for water infrastructure.
• Proficiency in design software (WaterGEMS, EPANET, STAAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Familiarity with international and local design codes (IS, AWWA, BS, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with large-scale municipal water supply projects.
• Exposure to design of sewerage and stormwater structures will be an added advantage.
• Previous involvement in EPC/PMC/Consultancy assignments.
