Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate release and control of goods at the warehouse. They must follow up with the Dispatch Manager on inter-depot dispatch approvals and ensure that all required interstate documentation is completed whenever applicable. Strict adherence to stock count processes and accuracy is mandatory. The role requires attending to daily emails and ensuring timely responses to all official communications. The Warehouse Manager must ensure proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adherence to company policies at all times. In the event of employee attrition, the individual is expected to manage operations smoothly and ensure timely replenishment of the team. They are responsible for procuring and maintaining all necessary warehouse licenses and permits and ensuring full legal compliance with central and local laws governing warehouse operations. Coordination with the transport planner is required to ensure 100% placement of vehicles on time. The Warehouse Manager must monitor commercial controls, including banking activities, invoicing, Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), and Stock Transfer Notes (STN). Timely resolution of customer queries is also a key responsibility. Coordination with the Warehouse Supervisor is essential to ensure 100% execution of arrivals and to maintain zero vehicle detention. Additionally, the role involves coordinating all audits, such as monthly stock audits, quality audits, and commercial audits, in collaboration with the Depot Administrator and external auditors. Quality System ResponsibilityThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining depot infrastructure in accordance with required hygiene and safety standards. They must ensure that new recruits are properly trained and equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance productivity. Conducting refresher training sessions for existing staff is also part of the role. The individual is expected to drive good warehousing practices at the site and ensure proper documentation practices within the warehouse. Preventive maintenance activities must be conducted regularly to avoid operational disruptions. The role also includes ensuring adherence to all applicable ANI requirements for the site. Continuous monitoring of pest control and warehouse temperature is required to maintain safety and quality standards. The Warehouse Manager must handle complaints effectively and take necessary corrective actions. Finally, they are responsible for implementing and maintaining food safety and food defense systems within the warehouse.
