Role Overview:

The Central Project Manager – Operations & Process Excellence will be responsible for managing multiple cross-functional projects across PAN India, focusing on operational efficiency, process compliance, and execution excellence. This includes leading in-store and outdoor branding rollouts, monitoring regional team performance, driving order management adherence, strengthening finance payment processes, vendor management, and collaborating with tech teams to enhance operational systems. The role demands a strong operational mindset, data orientation, and the ability to bring discipline, visibility, and process integrity across all functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Multi-Project & Process Management

  • Manage multiple central projects simultaneously across branding, operations, and system efficiency.
  • Ensure project adherence, timely execution, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Build and track standardized reporting mechanisms for better governance.

2. Branding & Execution Oversight

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of in-store and outdoor branding across PAN India.
  • Coordinate with design, marketing, and regional teams to ensure on-brand implementation.
  • Monitor project progress through central dashboards and highlight delays or deviations.

3. Regional Monitoring & Coordination

  • Monitor Area Business Managers (ABMs) and regional operations teams through project tracking tools.
  • Track execution KPIs, provide process guidance, and ensure consistent performance across geographies.
  • Drive accountability through structured reporting and follow-ups.

4. Finance & Reconciliation

  • Ensure payment adherence and compliance across manual and system-based processes.
  • Identify and close loopholes or delays in payment workflows across vendor and dealer transactions.
  • Coordinate with finance and business teams to verify supporting documentation before payment release.
  • Maintain transparency and adherence to defined process controls for vendor and project-related payments.

5. Order Management & Efficiency

  • Oversee order placement processes managed through both the Order Management App and manual WhatsApp channels.
  • Monitor the Order Management team’s adherence to timelines, accuracy, and SOPs.
  • Identify inefficiencies, delays, or manual dependencies and work toward process automation and system adoption.
  • Coordinate with tech teams to enhance app usability and ensure regional team compliance.

6. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage vendors related to branding, logistics, and services.
  • Ensure service-level adherence, quality checks, and timely invoice processing.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure payment clearance within timelines post-verification.

7. Technology & Process Enhancement

  • Partner with the tech and operations teams to enhance tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Drive digitization initiatives to reduce manual interventions and increase transparency.
  • Monitor tool adoption, troubleshoot issues, and recommend continuous improvements.

8. Governance & Reporting

  • Maintain central dashboards on project performance, payments, and order process adherence.
  • Generate periodic MIS reports with insights and improvement recommendations.
  • Present consolidated project health updates to leadership.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of operations, finance adherence, and order management workflows.
  • Excellent coordination, process mapping, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, project management tools, or ERP/CRM dashboards.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify process gaps and drive corrective action.
  • Team leadership and stakeholder management experience.
  • Exposure to vendor handling and multi-location operations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration, Operations, or Marketing.
  • Experience in managing central operations, project execution, or process governance.
  • Experience in FMCG, Consumer Durables, or Retail/Distribution-driven businesses preferred.
  • Familiarity with order management systems and finance process compliance is an advantage.
